Cong protests against Advani's statement

Tiruchirapalli, Jul 23 (UNI) A section of Congressmen led by Tamil Nadu Congress General Council (TNCGC) member R C Babu, today staged a novel demonstration to condemn the BJP leader and former Deputy Prime Minister L K Advani's reported criticism that the Congress-led UPA government was now in ICU ward.

The demonstrators placed the effigy of Mr Advani on a cot and administered glucose to it. They also shouted slogans against Mr Advani .

On information, a police party rushed to the spot. But on seeing the police, the demonstrators fled from the spot carring away the effigy.
