Cases against TTD employees for producing 'false' documents

Tirumala, July 23 (UNI) The Vigilance wing of the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) has found that the candidates for the post of barbers at the Sri Venkateswaraswamy temple here had produced false documents at the time of their appointment.

According to the Vigilance officials, police had registered criminal cases against the barbers.

The TTD conducted interviews in September, 2007, and appointed about 200 barbers, including women, who were having the minimum qualification of eighth standard education.

Having found that the documents produced during the interview fake, the TTD had removed about 40 barbers, who were now at large.
