Goa BJP condemns alleged bribing scandal
Panaji, Jul 22 (UNI) Condemning the alleged bribery scandal of MPs to vote in favour of the Trust Vote, Goa BJP today demanded Prime Minister Manmohan Singh's resignation.
BJP spokesperson Govind Parvatakar, while speaking to mediapersons here, said it was a black day in Indian democracy today and demanded the Prime Minister's resignation.
He alleged that people world over saw the corrupt practices of Congress and Samajwadi Party (SP). Both of them have tarnished the name of democracy in India and it will always be remebered as 'black day', he added.
During the elections, he alleged Congress was always involved in corruption but ''we were not expecting bribing of MPs openly on the motion of vote of confidence. It is a very serious matter in the country's parliamentary history''.
