Cong policies brings victory at Centre: Joshi
Lucknow, July 22 (UNI) Lauding the Congress-led UPA government for winning the confidence motion at the Centre, the Uttar Pradesh Congress Committee today said it was the victory of the party's policies and democracy.
The Nuclear deal will give a bright and prosperous future to the country as energy is essential and primary requirement for the development of any country, UPCC president Rita Bahuguna Joshi said.
She said this deal would make a history by eradicating poverty and strengthning the country economically.
While, criticising the BSP and BJP for their joint effort to pull down the UPA government, Ms Joshi congratulated the Samajwadi Party for being part of the winning side.
On the other hand, state unit of Bharatiya Janata Party charged the UPA government for having malafide intentions of bribing the BJP MPs for trust vote.
BJP further said, UPA had crossed all the limits and violated parliamentary norms and ethics and added that the BJP MPs had uncovered the UPAs face by revealing the incident and showing bribe money in the assembly.
The opposition party further demanded Prime MInister Manmohan Singh's resignation and staged demonstration against the UPA government here late evening.
