Action against Bhojpuri actor Manoj Tiwari demanded
Jamshedpur, Jul 22 (UNI) A web portal has opened a front against Bhojpuri film actor Manoj Tiwari on the Dutch postage stamp issue and has asked the Bihar government to take action against him.
Bhojpuriya.com yesterday claimed to have revealed the truth behind the postage stamp containing the actor's photo which was published in the Netherlands and said there are charges against the actor for misleading the Bihar Governor and other people and also for giving false comments in order to gain cheap publicity.
Talking to UNI, website's director Sudhir Kumar claimed that according to Dutch law, the actor with the help of a Dutch national got his photo postage stamp published. The citizen was of Indian origin.
He said that was not a big achievement because with the help of a Dutch national and by spending only 9 euros (Rs 600) any person can get his or her photo on a postage stamp published in the Netherlands.
Mr Kumar also got his photo on the postage stamp in a similar way recently and has received the letter yesterday from the Netherlands about the postage stamp which has his photo.
He said those types of tickets are used in the Netherlands as normal tickets and similar kinds of tickets are published in the US and Australia.
Mr Kumar levelled a charge against the actor that he got himself honoured himself by the Bihar Governor by using false means and also falsely claimed that he piped Hari Prasad Chaurasia - the flute maestro, who was also in the race for the honour.
''This has spoilt the image of the Bhojpuri community and action should be taken against him by the Bihar government,'' he added.
