Youth freed from kidnappers

Morena, MP, July 21 (UNI) A local youth, who was kidnapped a month ago, was freed from the clutches of miscreants from Chandel ke Pura area in Rajathan's Dholpur district today, police said.

''Satyendra Tyagi alias Sonu, who was the resident of this district's Sabalgarh town, had a dispute with his family on June 17.

Hence, he left his home and came to the town's railway station where a man medt him and took him to Morena promising him a job there,'' Morena's Superintendent of Police Santosh Kumar Singh told reporters here today.

Later, Satyendra was taken to Dhaulpur district's Dang Basai area, and handed over to miscreants. Kidnappers demanded ransom of Rs 20 lakh from Sonu's family.

On a tip-off, police cordoned off Dang Basai area but on seeing the cops kidnappers opened fire and fled away leaving the victim there.

Satyendra had named kidnappers as Ranveer Gurjar, Ramavtar Gurjar, Chandan Singh Nishad and Raju, all residents of Dhaulpur district, Mr Singh added.
