Woman held for killing minors

Mathura, Jul 21 (UNI) Police today arrested a woman for allegedly killing her two minor sisters-in-law in Raya area here.

According to police, Ballu's wife Nasreen killed five-year-old Kajal by giving her poison laced food and axed to death 11-year-old Parveen with an sharp-edged weapon last evening.

Later, she hid the bodies at different locations in a field and returned home. However, when the family enquired about the minors she said they had gone to pluck jamun (fruit).

Nasreen's father-in-law went in search of his daughters when they did not return home late at night.

After seraching for long, he recovered Kajal's body from the field. Parveen's mutilated body was, however, recovered this morning.

Police today held Nasreen on the complaint of his fater-in-law.

A case has been registered and investigation was underway.
