Utilise Central funds to improve health sector: APCA
Itanagar, Jul 21 (UNI) The Arunachal Pradesh Consumers' Association (APCA) today appealed state Health Minister C C Singpho to utilise the Central funds for improvement of the health sector properly.
In a letter to the Health Minister, the APCA said the Centre had provided sufficient funds for the development of the state's health and family welfare sector, for purchasing medicines and installing other medical facilities in the government-run health units.
Underscoring that the state's health sector was underdeveloped, the letter said there was extensive scarcity of medical facilities in the hospitals, primary health centers (PHC) and other dispensaries in the state capital as well as district headquarters.
The letter also mentioned other irregularities, including non-availabiilty of doctors in the health centres situated in interior areas of the state.
