Two held with fake currency
Lucknow, Jul 21 (UNI) Police today arrested two people for counterfeiting currencies and seized notes worth Rs 89,000 from them in Faizabad Kotwali area here.
Zaheer Hassan was arrested at a bus station with fake currency of Rs 79,000, police said.
During interrogation, he spilled the beans of currency racket being operated from Durgapur in West Bengal. Police are searching for other gang members.
Similarly, Barabanki police arrested Shatrughan Yadav from Ghanghater area with fake currency of Rs 10,000.
Police seized 500 counterfeits of Rs 1000 and Rs 100 from their possession and sent the criminals to jail.
