SFI activists burn effigy of PM
Chennai, Jul 21 (UNI) About 50 activists of the Students Federation of India (SFI) were arrested, when they burnt in effigy Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, condemning the Indo-US nuclear deal.
The activists were led by SFI North Chennai District Secretary Shanmughasundaram.
Activists from South Chennai district also participated in the agitation, held in front of the Memorial hall.
As the activists burnt the effigy, police rushed to the spot, put out the fire and arrested the SFI members.
