NMCE guar seed July-2008 contract settles at Rs 2,024
Ahmedabad, July 21 (UNI) The guar seed July-2008 futures contract traded on National Multi Commodity Exchange (NMCE) terminals, settled at Rs 2,024 (per quintal).
The settlement price is arrived at by taking Jodhpur (Rajasthan) as the basis centre, an NMCE release said today.
The turmeric July-2008 futures contract, which also expired on Saturday, settled at Rs 4,813 per quintal with Erode (Tamil Nadu) as the basis centre.
The maturity or settlement price of the commodities is arrived at by averaging out their respective closing prices of the preceding three days.
At present, NMCE runs futures contracts in nearly 95 series in 25 commodities, including pepper, sacking, castor seed, copra, coconut oil, rape/mustard, isabgol seed (psyllium) and base metals, the release added.
