Nine militants apprehended in Manipur

Imphal, Jul 21 (UNI) Troops and police arrested nine militants during the last 24 hours in various parts of the state.

SP (Thoubal) Clay Khongsai said here today troops and Thoubal district police commandos nabbed three militants of separate outfits yesterday.

Based on the information given by the militants, another ultra was nabbed from Kakching, Thoubal district.

In another incident, Imphal West district police commandos arrested four Kangleipak Communist Party KCP(MC) cadres.

In yet another operation, a combined team of Imphal East commandos and 39 Assam Rifles arrested a militant.

SP, Imphal East, Radheshyam said a miscreant, allegedly involved in kidnapping of children was also nabbed from Sagolband, Imphal West.
