Sirsa, Jul 21 (UNI) Night curfew continued to be in force in Dabwali town of the district today where a clash between Dera Sacha Sauda followers and members of a Sikh organisation left one person dead on Friday last.

Authorities today lifted curfew from 0800 hrs to 2000 hrs with normalcy limping back to the town but decided to continue the curfew during night hours.

However, the Haryana Police tightened the security arrangements in Sirsa district in view of the call for July 23 bandh given by Sri Guru Granth Sahib Satkar Sabha.

Sabha president Sukhwinder Singh Khalsa today said their agitation would continue till the government gets Sacha Sauda Dera chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh arrested.

The administration has identified 41 villages as sensitive, Sirsa Deputy Commissioner V Umashankar said today.

He said section 144 of the CrPC would be implemented strictly and activities of those violating it would be videographed. Also, cases would be registered under sections 188 and 186 against those found violating provisions of the section 144.

He said emphasis would be laid on maintaining peace in sensitive villages through peace committees. The district administration had urged peace committees constituted at village level to undertake peace march and activate their units in the urban and rural areas to maintain peace in view of the unfortunate happenings that occurred in Dabwali on July 18.

He said that the administration would also seek the help of soldiers associated with literacy mission and Mahila Mandals to impress upon the people in rural areas to maintain peace.
