New Commandant for Army Service Corps Centre

Bangalore, Jul 21: Lt General Gurjit Singh Dhillon, the highest ranking Army Officer in Karnataka, on Monday, July 21, took over as the Commandant of the Army Service Corps (ASC) Centre and College.

Previously he was the Additional Director General of Supplies and Transport at Army Headquarters, New Delhi, according to a PIB (Defence Wing) release here. A graduate from the Defence Services Staff College, Lt Gen Dhillon had also attended the prestigious National Defence College and Higher Command Course at Army War College. He had served in various regimental, staff and instructional appointments, some of the important ones being Major General Army Service Corps (MG ASC) of a Command Headquarters, Brigadier Administration in Defence Services Staff College and Deputy Military Secretary in a Command Headquarters.

The ASC Centre and College is a premier training institution of Army Service Corps and one of the largest logistics support training wing of the Indian Army.
