Konkan Rly commuters to get new station

Mumbai, Jul 21: A new railway station, worth Rs 5.2 crore, at Vinhere will be constructed on the Konkan railway line between Karanjadi and Diwankhavati stations.

The Vinhere station will have three-lines, one platform and amenities and will be used by approximately 30,000 people from 15-20 villages of the area, announced a release issued here today.

The station, which is around 25 km away from Khed station and 55 km from Chiplun station will save passenger's time and money, the release added.
