HM militant killed in north Kashmir

Baramulla, Jul 21: A militant of Hizbul Mujahideen (HM) was killed in a fierce encounter in north Kashmir today, official sources said.

Sources said security forces acting on a tip- off conducted search operations at Wadar, Handwara, in the frontier district of Kupwara this morning.

During the operation, an encounter ensued in which a local militant of HM was killed. One AK rifle and other arms and ammunition were recovered from the slain militant.
