Governor congratulates Tapan Sinha

Kolkata, Jul 21 (UNI) West Bengal Governor Gopalkrishna Gandhi today congratulated noted filmmaker Tapan Sinha on his receiving the Dadasaheb Phalke award.

In a statement, the Governor said, ''Mr Sinha has made a formidable contribution to the Indian cinema and made it proud.'' ''I am, like other fellow countrymen, equally happy by the news.

All felicitations to Mr Sinha,'' Mr Gandhi maintained.
