Dena Bank joins TREAD scheme for women empowerment

New Delhi, July 21 (UNI) Dena Bank today joined the trade related entrepreneurship assistance and development (TREAD) scheme for empowering women.

It will provide loans for self-employment ventures by women for pursuing any kind of non-farm activity.

An MoU in this regard was signed by the Bank with the Development Commissioner, Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME).

Under the scheme, grant is provided up to 30 per cent of the total project cost released to financial institutions which implement it.

Many major banks are already operating the scheme, and some others are also expected to join it shortly.
