New Delhi, July 21 (UNI) Delhi Education Minister Arvinder Singh today said the state Government is committed to providing quality education for all.
Speaking after inaugurating a new school building of Government Co-Ed middle school at Jasola in South Delhi, Mr Singh, stressing on providing better facilities to the students to prompt them to perform better, said the government would take positive steps to encourage students to improve their academic and other skills important in life.
''The ambience and environment of a school has to be good to cultivate young minds and instigate inquisitiveness, he said and appealed to the people to send their wards to school and contribute towards the goal of national development.
Inaugurating the building, the Minister said the new building had all the important facilities like classrooms, playgrounds, libraries, laboratories, playground, toilets, and water cooler system for potable drinking water for the students.
He further said the government will ensure proper inspection and maintenance to keep the premises and facilities up-to-date.
Also present on the occasion were MLA Ramvir Singh Bidhuri, MCD Councillor Brahm Parakash, Director Education Chandrabhushan and Deputy Director Education (South) Anita Setia.
