Two fishermen drown, another rescued

Udupi, Jul 20 (UNI) Two fishermen drowned and another was rescued when a boat in which they had gone fishing was capsized at Gangolli in Kundapura taluk today.

According to police, a group of fishermen had gone fishing in the sea in their home-made boat. The boat flipped over near the mouthpiece at Gangolli and three fishermen drowned in the sea.

While one fisherman was rescued by others, two other fishers drowned. The bodies of the two missing fishermen were, however, could not be recovered so far.

An intensive search was on to trace the missing, police added.
