Three held with 750 gms of heroin

Jaunpur, July 20 (UNI) Special Operation Group (SPG) of police arrested three smugglers and seized 730 grams of heroin from them in Saraikhwaja area here late last night, police said today.

The psycotropic substance was estimated at Rs 75 lakh in the international market.

On a tip-off, police laid a cordon for the criminals and held them at Tarsawan road and recovered the drugs from their possession.

During interrogation, trio devulged that they used to bring heroin from Bihar and Rajasthan and later sell it in Varanasi, Allahabad and Jaunpur districts.

A reward of Rs 2,500 was announced for the police team.
