Mayawati's minister declared 'absconding' by a court

Fatehpur, Jul 20 (UNI) Uttar Pradesh Sports Minister Ayodhya Prasad Pal has been declared 'absconding' by a local court, which has also ordered attachment of his property on the basis of a police chargesheet.

The matter related to a five year old property dispute, in which, the police had filed the chargesheet.

Judicial Magistrate of Fatehpur Kamlesh Dubey had issued warrant against three people, including the Minister, several times but police had made no efforts to make him present in the court.

After this, the court, in its last evening order, declared him 'absconding' and ordered attachment of the property.

The court has also directed the police to submit its compiance report by August four.

As per official details, Ayodhya Pal, along with three accomplices, had gone to take possession of 26 Bigha land adjacent to a temple in Rara village of Malwan area on September six, 2003.

The move was opposed to and had led to firing, in which, about six people were injured.

The case was registered at that time and the chargesheet was filed. The proceedings under Gangster Act was also initiated against the minister.

Meanwhile, the district police chief K S Pipana has said the police would ensure the compliance of court order.
