Man drowns in Cauvery river
Tiruchirapalli, Jul 20: A 35-year-old man has drowned at River Cauvery at Mutharasanallur village, near here.
Police said Kesavaraj of Woriyur, along with his friends Murali and Balamurugan, was taking bath in the river yesterday, when all the three accidently moved towards the deeper part of the river.
Villages managed to rescue Murali and Balamurugan, while Kesavaraj drowned.
Efforts were on to recover the body, police added.
