LSP to burn effigies of Centre, MP Govt
Bhopal, July 20 (UNI) The Madhya Pradesh Loktantrik Samajwadi Party has decided to burn the Centre and the state government in effigies to protest against rising inflation in the country.
Talking to reporters here today after a meeting of state party executive, LSP President Raghu Thakur said a resolution was passed during the meeting expressing concern over price rise.
He said the party would observe August 9 -- commemorated as anniversary of Quit India Movement -- as 'Kranti Diwas' as 'Quit English Culture Movement). Several seminars would be organised as a part of this programme.
Mr Thakur said the party would take initiative for entering into electoral alliance in view of upcoming elections. However, it would contest from at least 20 seats if such alliance was not worked out.
