Jawan held with one Kg heroin in Jammu Kashmir

Jammu, Jul 20: An army jawan was arrested by police and one-kg of heroin was recovered from him in Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir, official sources here today said.

''On the basis of specific information, an army jawan of 13 Jakli was intercepted by the police at Phaja Morh in Kandi area of Rajouri district and recovered one-kg of heroin from his possession,'' official sources told UNI.

The accused has been identified as Sumeet Singh, resident of Kotranka and was reportedly on leave during the past two days.

However, case under Narcotics Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act (NDPSA) has been registered against him.
