New Delhi, Jul 20 (UNI) Indira Gandhi National Open University will participate in a international conference on 'Digital Learning 2008' to position the role and relevance of collaborative and interactive digital learning via information communication technologies tools.
More than 400 education and IT experts, professionals from development sector and government officials from India and abroad will participate in the three-day conference, which will be held at Pragati Maidan here from July 29.
''We will discuss common challenges and extraordinary solutions, ideas and operating approaches towards digital divide and explore the opportunities for digital education in India,'' convenor of the conference Ravi Gupta told reporters.
Minister of State for Human Resource Development D Purandeswari will inaugurate the conference, organised by the Centre for Science Development and Media Studies along with the support from Ministry of Human Resources, CBSE, IGNOU, Kendriya Vidayalaya Sangathan and Delhi University.
This is the only conference which renders active conferencing, networking and showcasing while organising seven seminal tracks -- Egov India, Digital Learning India, Telecentre Forum India, e-Health India, m-Serve India, Municipal IT and Agriculture India.
