DWFI urges 33 per cent reservation for women

Puducherry, Jul 20 (UNI) The Democratic Women's Federation of India (DWFI) today asked for the immediate introduction of an Act to provide 33 per cent reservation for women in Parliament and State Legislatures.

A resolution to this effect was adopted at a conference of the Federation here today.

Another resolution urged for the expansion of the National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (NREG) throughout the Union Territory.

Yet another resolution urged for the inclusion of domestic maids in the unorganised labourers union.
