AR sets up medical library in Manipur

Imphal, Jul 20: As part of the Military Civic Action Programme, the 39 Assam Rifles (AR) of 9 Sector under HQ IGAR (South) has set up a library housing invaluable medical reference books at the Nursing School under Catholic Medical Centre in the Koirengei District in Imphal East.

The AR PRO informed that the library was now fully functional, adding that medical Books and steel almirahs worth Rs three lakh were donated for the benefit of the poor and economically backward students studying at Catholic Medical .

An officer of 30 AR stressed on the harmonious relationship shared by the unit and the people of Koirengei. He reiterated that the AR would always extend its support, in this regard.

The locals expressed their deep gratitude to the AR and lauded their efforts to alleviate the hardships of the local populace.
