Smack worth Rs 30 lakh seized, 2 held

Kanpur, Jul 19 (UNI) The city police today claimed to have arrested two smugglers and seized 100 gm smack, worth Rs 30 lakh in the international market, in Jhakar Katti bus station.

The cops recovered the psychotropic substance late last night after frisking two people, who were moving suspiciously, the police said.

The arrested included Ram Milan and his associate Arun Lal, both from Barabanki.

Ram Milan later confessed that he used to produce smack from opium in his house and supplied the same in Kanpur.

The alleged smugglers have been sent to jail.
