Presidential honour to Persian scholar from Bihar
Patna, July 19(UNI) Professor M Sharaf-E-Alam, former Vice-Chancellor of M M H Arabic and Persian University here was awarded the 'Certificate of Honour' by President Pratibha Patil for his 'excellent research work and outstanding scholarship in Persian language'.
The award was handed over to prof Alam by the President at a function at the Rastrapati Bhavan in New Delhi on July ten, his family sources here today informed.
A noted scholar of Persian Literature Prof Alam had participated in over 40 literary seminars across the country and abroad besides publishing a number of research work.
