One killed, another injured as truck runs over
Hooghly, Jul 19 (UNI) One person was killed and another seriously injured today when a truck ran over them at the Tarakeshwar area under Haripal police station in this district.
Police said both the deceased and injured were residents of Kamrup district in Assam and had arrived here to attend the Shravani Mela festival.
The injured person was admitted to the Haripal Rural Hospital.
Police seized the vehicle. However, the truck driver managed to flee.
