New born baby boy stolen
Coimbatore, Jul 19 (UNI) A new born baby boy was stolen from Coimbatore Medical College (CMC) hospital here today.
Police said Karthika Selvi (37), wife of one Rajagopal hailing from Kunnathur in Erode district was admitted for delivery on July 16.
Last night she delivered a male child weighing 3.2 kg. Her friend Sowmya, who was helping her, left the hospital as she developed fever.
Seizing the opportunity, a woman posing as a relative of the baby's mother and wandering in that ward, took away the new born boy.
Police have spread a dragnet for the culprit.
