Month-long Shravani mela begins

Bhagalpur Jul 19 (UNI) The month-long 'Shravani Mela' got off to a colourful start at Sultanganj today in presence of thousands of devotees from across the country.

Inaugurating the famous fair, Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Kumar Modi promised to provide all facilities to the pilgrims coming from across the country and abroad.

He also announced the government's plan to construct a direct road at a cost of Rs 28 crore to connect Sultanganj with Deoghar soon.

Prominent among those who also spoke on the occasion were Science and Technology Minister Ashwini Choubey and Road Construction minister Prem Kumar.
