Man throws daughter into river

Morena, MP, Jul 19 (UNI) A man threw his daughter into a river following an argument with his wife near Chhonda village in this district last night, police said today.

The body of two-and-half years old Himani was recovered from Asan river today. Gwalior-resident Jamuna Prasad Rathore was on his way from Gwalior to Morena when he got down from the bus and flung Himani into the river.

A temple priest witnessed the scene and caught Jamuna with the help of some people and handed him over to the police.

City Superintendent of Police Jaideep Singh Bhadoria said Jamuna wanted to take his wife to New Delhi but she had refused. Both had an argument over this matter.
