Mahila Cong takes out pro-nuke deal rally in Pondy

Puducherry, Jul 19 (UNI) The Mahila Congress here today took out a massive rally in support of the Indo-US Nuclear Deal following a directive from the party high command.

Led by Mahila Congress President Jean Poorani,the rally commenced at the Indira Gandhi Square here.

The rally, to highlight the advantages of the deal, passed through the main thoroughfares of the town to reach the Venkatasubbareddiyar Statue.

Puducherry Chief Minister N Rangasamy, his Cabinet colleagues, PCC President A V Subramanian and Congress functionaries participated.
