'Madhava Kurup Award' for Malayala Manorama scribe

Kozhikode, Jul 19 (UNI) ''Malayala Manorama'' daily's Assistant Editor Sibi Kattamballi has been chosen for the 'Madhava Kurup Award' for outstanding contribution to general reporting.

A release here today said Sibi, bagged the award, instituted by the Calicut Press Club, for his series ''Kayaril Izhayunna Kannir'' in the Malayalam daily.

The award, carrying Rs 5,000 and a citation, would be presented to him at a function here later this month.

A member of the editorial board of the daily, Sibi had also won many awards earlier, the release added.
