HAU to provide high breed goat, sheep to farmers

Hisar, Jul 19 (UNI) Chaudhary Charan Singh Haryana Agricultural University (HAU) has decided to provide high breed goat and sheep to the farmers, labourers and poor families of the Mewat region so they can enchance their income by adopting this profession.

While giving this information today, a spokesman of the University said the farmers would be provided latest training under a project by the Agriculture Science Center of the University in this field. He said that the University had also introduced a high breed of sheep named, Harnali. This breed is best for meat and wool production.

He said that apart from Harnali breed of sheep, the research work of other breeds, Munjal and Naali was also in progress.

Similarly, the scientists were also doing research on two high breed of goat, namely Beetal and Jakhrana.
