ELCOT for laptops instead of desktops
Tiruchirpalli, July 19 (UNI)State-owned Electronics Corporation of Tamil Nadu (ELCOT) has recommended the replacement of desktop computers in government offices with laptops which were energy efficient and easy to handle, Managing Director C Umashankar said.
Speaking at the opening of the ELCOT's Computer Training Centre for government officials here yesterday, he said laptops save up to 70 per cent of power and need less space.
