Eicher Motors to set up training centre at NIE
Mysore, Jul 19 (UNI) Eicher Motors, one of the leading manufacturers of commercial vehicles in the country, will set up a training centre, the first in South India, at the National Institute of Engineering (NIE) here shortly.
According to an NIE release here today, the institute had signed an MoU in this regard with the Gujarat Government at Eicher's plant in Pithampur in Indore recently.
Eicher Motors CEO A Ramasubramanian said the training centre would be established within two months at the NIE, a premier technical institution in Karnataka.
Another centre would be established at Kubernadar in Ahmedabad in association with the Gujarat Government.
The main objective of this collaboration was to familiarise young students with the latest automobile technology and practically demonstrate the most scientific way of repairing, maintenance and overhaul of commercial vehicles and modern manufacturing techniques.
