Day temperatures above normal in HP

Shimla, Jul 19 (UNI) Several places across Himachal Pradesh are recording day temperatures across normal and high humidity with the maximum temperature at Shimla town being 22.8 degrees, the met office said.

The day temperature in Shimla town at 22.8 degrees was 1.8 degrees above normal during this period of the year, the met office told UNI here.

The day temperature at Sundernagar stood at 30.3 degrees, 31 at Bhuntar, 22.9 at Kalpa, 26.2 at Dharamshala, 33 at Una, 29.5 at Solan and 30 degrees at Mandi.

The minimum temperature at Shimla town stood at 16.3 degrees, followed by 21.6 at Sundernagar, 21 at Bhuntar, 11.5 at Kalpa, 17.3 at Dharamshala, 21.2 at Una, 20 in Solan and 23.2 degree Celsius at Mandi town.

The met office said the state capital also experienced 24.2 mm rains during the last hrs followed by 17.6 mm at Dharamshala, 6.4 mm at Una, 4.4 mm at Mandi, 3.4 mm each at Solan and Sundernagar, and two mm at Bhuntar.

It has also forecast rain, thundershowers at most places in the state during the next 24 hrs.
