CPM Central Committee meet begins
New Delhi, Jul 19 (UNI) The top leadership of CPI(M) began deliberation here today to find ways and means to ensure the fall of the Manmohan Singh government during the crucial July 22 confidence vote on the floor of the Lok Sabha.
The 85-member Central Committee, the highest decision making body of the party, will also discuss about the circumstances under which the Left withdrew support to the 50-month-old UPA government, the subsequent discussion with various parties and the emerging political scenario.
Besides party general secretary Prakash Karat, the Chief Minister of three Left ruled state--West Bengal, Kerala, Tripura-- are also participating in the two-day Central Committee meet.
The Left parties have aligned with the BSP, TRS and the TDP to execute their position that they will make it impossible for the government to execute the deal.
The CPI(M) general secretary is also scheduled to meet TDP president Chandrababu Naidu today to further hold the discussion as part of the party strategy to win more and more support to bring down the government.
