Convict hangs himself from tree at cremation grounds

Moga, July 19 (UNI) A convict, undergoing life imprisonment in a murder case who was on bail allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself from a tree at the cremation grounds in Nathuwala village in the district today, police here said.

The deceased was identified as Sukhpal Singh who had been granted bail in the murder case about a month back. He was said to be in a state of depression.

The police after completing the legal formalities handed over the dead body to the relatives of the deceased.
