Bangalore, July 19 (UNI) Bharatiya Janata Party National Vice President Mukthar Abbas Naqvi today alleged that the Congress at the centre had indulged in 'Nuclear blackmail' to push through the Indo-US Nuclear deal.

Talking to newsmen here, he alleged that the Congress headed by Sonia Gandhi and Prime Minister Manmohan Singh had been telling that without Nuclear deal the country could not get fertiliser, power, and combat terrorism. Both Ms Gandhi and Mr Singh were working overtime to save the government and thus indulged in horse trading.

"Congress has converted the august house of Parliament into a Stock Exchange of Political parties. In 1990 the then Prime Minister P V Narasimha Rao had laid foundation for 'suitcase' politics and open trading of MPs was done to remain in power and now they are working overtime to break the record of Mr Rao," he remarked saying the Congress was tarnishing the image of the Parliament.

Charging that the Congress was playing dirtiest game in politics, Mr Ali said that people would give a befitting reply in the next elections. "UPA government will not survive the trust vote on July 22 and election to the Lok Sabha will be held this year", he claimed.

Replying to a question, he ruled out the possibility of BJP alliance with Bahujan Samajawadi Party headed by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mayawati or with Samajawadi Party of Mulayam Singh Yadav in the coming Lok Sabha elections.
