BEML Q4 FY08 net up 26.72 pc at Rs 118.50 cr

New Delhi, Jul 19: BEML Ltd on Saturday, July 19 said its net profit has increased 26.72 per cent to Rs 118.50 crore for the quarter ended March 2008 as compared to Rs 93.51 crore for the same quarter last year.

Total income increased 14.70 per cent to Rs 1,099.43 crore for Q4 FY08 from Rs 958.48 crore for the corresponding period last fisal. Its net profit for the year ended March 2008 increased 10.11 per cent to Rs 225.65 crore as compared to Rs 204.93 crore a year ago. Total income increased 6.25 per cent to Rs 2,634.43 crore for FY08 from Rs 2,479.28 crore for the previous fiscal.

The Group posted a net profit of Rs 227.00 crore for the year ended March 2008 as compared to Rs 205.90 crore for the previous fiscal, registering an increase of 10.24 per cent.

Total income rose 6.21 per cent to Rs 2627.29 crore for FY08 as against Rs 2473.45 crore for the year ended March 2007.
