B'desh lodges 'strong protest' against India over border incident

Dhaka, Jul 19 (UNI) Bangladesh today a lodged 'strong protest' against India with regard to the recent border incident where two Bangladesh Rifles (BDR) personnel were killed in firing along the Indo-Bangla border by the Border Security Force (BSF).

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the protest note expressed hope that the ''Indian authorities will take appropriate action against those responsible and ensure that such incidents do not recur.'' Two BDR personnel were killed in firing along the Indo-Bangla border at in Shibganj sub-district of northern Chapainawabganj district on Thursday midnight.
