Dr Mohan Rajan bags APAODS award 2008

Chennai, Jul 19: Dr Mohan Rajan, Chairman and Medical Director of the City-based Rajan Eye Care Hospital, has been awarded the ''Asia Pacific Academy of Opthalmology Distinguished Service Award 2008,'' for his outstanding contribution in the field of community opthalmology and academics.

A hospital release here said Dr Mohan Rajan was one of the five recipients of this prestigious award. The other winners were from Hong Kong, Singapore, Thailand and Japan.

The award was presented to him at the World Congress of Opthalmology held in Hong Kong recently, the release said.

Dr Mohan Rajan was also conferred the Indian Intraocular Implant and Refractive Society Gold Medal for his oustanding contribution on recent advances in the field of opthalmology in India, the release said.
