Additional wheat for PDS holders

Chennai, July 19 (UNI) The government has made an additional allocation of 700 metric tonne of wheat for the benefit of PDS cardholders in Chennai and its suburbs.

An official release said the allocation for July 2008 comes on the back of the 500 MT of wheat provided for the PDS cardholders every month.

The decision had been taken considering the needs of the consumers, the release said asking them to avail the benefit from the PDS shops.
