340 TRS workers held, partial response in capital city
Hyderabad, Jul 19 (UNI) Over 340 agitators were taken into preventive custody while staging 'dharnas' across the capital city as part of the 'bandh' called by the Telangana Rastra Samithi (TRS) in Telangana region today.
In pursuance to the above call, the TRS members made an appeal to observe the 'bandh' by closure of schools, colleges, business establishments and stop the plying of RTC buses in the twin cities.
However, there was no impact of the 'bandh' in North and South Zone areas, while it was minimal in West and Central Zone areas. The 'bandh' witnessed a moderate response in East Zone area, a police release said here.
