Uma Bharti not to join BJP
Hubli, Jul 18 (UNI) Bharatiya Jana Shakti (BJS) President Uma Bharti today ruled out the possibility of her going back to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
Talking to newspersons here, the firebrand politician, who was here to participate in Guru Purnima Pooja, said ''for any reason, I will not join the BJP''.
Referring to the Indo-US nuclear deal issue, the former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister said the ''Prime Minister Manmohan Singh should have discussed the issue in Parliament openly''.
Ruling out the possibility of her party contesting in any elections in Karnataka, Ms Bharti said the BJS would contest the Assembly elections in Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Rajasthan and Lok Sabha elections in Bihar, Gujarat and Uttar Pradesh.
To a question, she said that in Karnataka, the BJP came to power only because of the charisma of Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa and not because of the BJP's image.
