Teachers adopt pauperism on Guru Purnima

Barwani, MP, July 18 (UNI) In a bid to protest the large scale irregularities-related to their salaries and other issues, Madhya Pradesh Teachers Union district unit practised mendicancy on the occasion of 'Guru Poornima' here today.

District Teachers Union President Hemendra Malviya said that protest was registered in support of teachers' several demands.

''About 2,500 schools were affected and 300 primary and middle schools remained closed following the school 'talabandi' strike called by the Teachers Union,'' he added.
